Everybody Must Get Manufactured Stone Veneered

We are doing one interior wall in stone. I haven't been able to find stone selection on the net anywhere except Owens Corning, of all places. The stuff looks beautiful (online), but it's fake. I don't know if it's better or worse on any attribute; aesthetics, quality, price. But I sure could pick it out and be done with it.

Has anyone had any experience with this stuff?

I've seen this at home remodeling shows and it looks convincing. I was told it is caste cement that is dyed different colors. I’m usually anti-fake anything, but I've been seriously thinking about using it on part of our foundation. I’ll be interested to see how it works out for you (if you use it).

My apologies. That one was especially bad.

We used the Owens Corning stacked stone to recover the brick fireplace in our basement. Most people don't realize that it's not real unless I tell them. Perhaps Owens Corning would send you a sample of the material? If you'd like I can send you a photo of our fireplace.
